Why Choose ‘Classical’ Homeopathy
Why choose Classical Homoeopathy?
Homoeopaths who practice according to the principles of homoeopathy as set down by the founder of homoeopathy, Dr Samuel Hahnemann in his Organon of medicine use the prefix ‘Classical’ to differentiate themselves from practitioners who prescribe homoeopathic remedies outside of these principles.
Those main principles include:
•The single remedy
•The minimum dose
•The law of similars
•The vital principle
•The totality of symptoms
•The proving of remedies on healthy individuals
•The potentisation of remedies
Therefore when treating patients a ‘classical’ homoeopath will prescribe a single, well selected remedy in the minimum dose required and always take full account of the totality of symptoms (mental, emotional and physical) You may notice that some homoeopaths advocate the use of complex prescribing using a combination of remedies to treat different problems in the same person, Dr Hahnemann states emphatically that this practice is wrong, unnecessary and “absolutely not allowed” in homoeopathy (Aph 273).
At Bingley Homeopathic Practice we promise that we will always treat our patients according to the principles of homoeopathy.
